Like volunteer seedlings, wood destined for the forest floor, fire or shop stash, can quite often become bowls.

It is not just one feature that pulls me; the cracks, burls or grain. It's about reading the wood. Rather than simply trying to make something specific. I end up going to tough places to express something that needs a voice.
