Lightning a candle for Notorious.
Fun things to do with Spalted Birch. This one spalted in just 5 months over the Spring and Summer.
Spent the last couple days buffing out bowls. Bioshield, the finish I use, has waxes that are aided by a good buffing into the wood. Then I buff on a coat of Carnuba which I think helps w/ fingerprints and dusting.
The beauty is found from within. Black Cherry Burl- reject from a family owned charcoal business.
Finish on recent works with cracks and craters. Mistletoe Walnut Burl and Madrone.
